South Grove Primary School

a Fond farewell to Mrs Baker

We will be saying a fond farewell to Mrs Baker at the end of this term. She has been a stalwart and valued part of the South Grove team for the last 20 years.

During her time at South Grove Mrs Baker has worked across the school with children from Year 2 upwards. As well as taking her class, she has led Art and Design and this has been her absolute passion.  Designing schemes of work for children to experience the works of various artists, craft makers and designers has enriched the children and enabled them to learn and create their own artworks and designs in a variety of medium. Her hard work will continue to be embedded across the school.

We will not forget Mrs Baker’s enthusiasm for any dressing up, or sing along events such as World Book Day, as an inflatable dinosaur (and various other inflatable costumes!) , a very sophisticated James Bond, her turn in The Masked Singer for Comic Relief as Ghost or, of course, her passionate support for her beloved West Ham United!

Mrs Baker is taking some time out to reflect on her career to date and plan exciting new adventures which we’re sure will have a creative direction and probably include some glitter and fur!

We know that our South Grove community will want to thank Mrs Baker for all that she has done and given to South Grove and wish her all the very best for the future. Good Luck - you will be missed!
