Year 5 - what have we been up to?

Year 5 have been busy swimming for the whole of March so learning has been very disrupted.  However, they have soldiered on through last minute changes and afternoon English and Maths lessons. A huge well done to all of the children in Year 5 for their superb progress in their learning.  Certificates have all been handed out.

To conclude our learning on perimeter and area, the children used squared paper to write their names- for some children this was hard enough especially if they had long names.  After that, they worked out the perimeter of each letter and then the area.  Finally, they calculated the total area and perimeter for their entire name.
