Year 4: 'How to Survive a Bear Attack'

Year 4 had a rawr-some time preparing for their next English writing unit 'How to Survive a Bear Attack' by showing off their fearsome acting skills! First we begin with the grand reveal that we would not be writing our instructions based on food like every other year but instead we would be immersing ourselves into the depths of the Alaskan Denali National Park . We watched a range of videos to help us understand the sights, smells and sounds that we may encounter on our strolls through the mountains. Next, we then watched a guide on how to survive a bear attack and learnt that bear spray is an essential item! As we watched these we took notes on what our experiences may be like in the forest to help inform our acting task. As we were so well-prepared we were able to transform into the most terrifying creatures in the National Park
