World Book Day 2024
World Book Day 2024 was just amazing 😊.. every year the costumes just get better and better !!
We had a lovely assembly where we celebrated reading across the school and heard an amazing book review from Thea in PLM followed by a splendid song from Nursery all about Wolves and some detailed paintings .. Then, the Rec class shared the most amazing paintings from the book The Magic paintbrush...wow!!
After this, there was an incredible rendition of the Stick Man book from the Year 1's..whooosh!!
Following this, Year 5 shone in their creative endeavours and wrote stories for the Year 2 children. The Year 2 children wrote a book review about the wonderful books they received.
The Year 3 gave us step by step instructions on how to was a Woolly Mammoth in such a funny play.
After this, the Year 4's re-enacted the story of Romulus and Remus. Great acting everyone!! Then, the Year 5's read some of their wonderful creations. Lastly Year 6 has announce their exciting news!! Next Week...
Year will Learn, Rehearse, and Perform a Play in a Day!
They will be acting out the play script of Romeo and Juliet.
Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 parents are invited to watch the show on Thursday 7th March.
A special thanks to my volunteers in year 5 who took on the challenge to be the assembly leaders. You stole the show and you learned everything in ONE DAY! Congratulations!!

Challenge Number 2... This is the school challenge- children and parents have heard about it in assembly. The first child in each class comes back to school with evidence that they have completed it will win a prize 😊
Challenge Number 3... how many Rights of the Child do you know?
Can you learn all of them off by heart? There is a special Rights Respecting Schools challenge coming up soon.. and a scavenger hunt... watch this space. Get learning 😊
