UKS2 Girls A team football by Mrs Grant

UKS2 Girls A team football || NOVEMBER 2023

On Tuesday 28th November, Mrs. Grant along with Miss Summers ventured up to Goals in Chingford with nine very excited girls and one keen Feel Good ambassador to face the elements at the Waltham Forest UKS2 Girls Football competition. 

The day started with a warm up along with some football drills and then they were ready to face the day. Across the day the girls were in a round competition taking part in 5 of the 15 games. Winning 3, losing 1 and drawing 1.  The team showcased some incredible play and skills throughout the day.  When going up against one team comments heard of 'this game is going to be a tough match' (girls on the opposition played for Spurs Junior!). Other adults even complimented the team on their great sportsmanship too. The girls made it to the quarter final match but sadly, were knocked out. 

To make it to the top 12 out of 35 teams is an amazing accomplishment.  Well done to our players in our UKS2 team: Zaara, Quinn, Nusaiba, Isabella, Amira, Aiza, Alaysiah-Mai, Aminah and Khirara. A special shout out to our Feel Good Ambassador (Nina) for keeping score of the matches, taking photos and making sure we were on time to all our games.
