On Tuesday 3rd October, ten of our best footballers took part in the borough football tournament held at Chingford Goals on a beautifully, sunny day. Below are our results.

Congratulations to our Year 4 team who dominated in their games. I didn’t manage to watch their games but Ms Edmonds gave me a very exciting recount of it. However, I did manage to watch their quarter and semi-finals and wow, were these games thrilling! The children were outstanding and gracious in their victories. The LKS2 team decided that Stanley in 4SH should be awarded the player’s player as he assisted most of the goals which ended up in his team succeeding. Sadly, the final didn’t go our way, with only a few seconds to spare, Mayville managed to score. A very emotional team left the pitch after being consoled and praised by myself, their peers and other staff. The team was congratulated by many other staff members on the day for the respectfulness and resilience. Myself, Ms Edmonds and Andrei M (team manager from 6M) were so proud of them and cannot wait until next year. A photo of the team will be added to the ‘Sports Shelf of Fame’ for coming 2nd in the Waltham Forest LKS2 football.
