Born in a Barn! – The Infant Nativity
What a treat we all had on the Tuesday and Wednesday before we broke up! Our Reception, Year 1 and 2 children seemed to have disappeared and in their place were mooing cows, very noisy cockerels, sheep, donkeys, villagers, camels and majestic kings alongside Mary and Joseph.
The children looked brilliant in their jolly festive jumpers and headdresses to depict their characters, thanks to staff and parents for a joint effort of ensuring everyone was kitted out! Each class sung their hearts out to their song that helped to tell the story, using Makaton. They impressed us with knowing when their part was due and thanks to Miss Fowler and Miss McFarlane, took cues from them! Well done to a confident Reception children who, for their first Nativity, did really well!
Thank you to Miss Fowler and Miss McFarlane for co-ordinating the Nativity and all teaching and support staff for making it a special time for both children and parents. We had a packed and eager audience for both performances, so thank you for that. The children really loved you being there.
Here are what our appreciative audience had to say:
Amazing show! Well done to all the staff and the fabulous performers – better than the West End!
What a wonderful show! So many fantastic songs and the children have worked so hard. We loved it!
I especially loved how the teachers / children signed all the songs
Really great to see all the children involved and happy. We really enjoyed it. Thanks you so much!
